The Ambulance Service has three primary sources of income that each support about a third of our budget: payment for services, stipends from the towns of Tremont and Southwest Harbor, and donations. Your contribution helps us provide top-quality service to our residents and visitors.

Donate using PayPal or a credit card, or by sending us a check payable to SWH-Tremont Ambulance Service. Our mailing address is PO box 437, Southwest Harbor, ME 04679.
From an IRA
From an IRA
If you are 70½ or older with a traditional IRA, you are eligible to take a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) to SWHTAS. If you are older than 72, the QCD can be counted towards the required minimum distribution. QCDs may reduce your taxable income.
From a Donor Advised Fund
From a Donor Advised Fund
SWHTAS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so should be eligible for distributions from a Donor Advised Fund. Our tax ID number is XXXXXXXXX.
Via Appreciated Stock

If you have securities that have appreciated in value, you can donate them to SWHTAS without having to pay tax on the capital gains. For details on donating securities, please contact our Treasurer.

SWHTAS can be a beneficiary of yours by designating SWHTAS in your will or trust, or by naming SWHTAS as a beneficiary of an annuity, life insurance policy, or retirement account.
